Our Story
SFI Cambridge City School Uganda is a non-denominational christian based Cambridge international school whose inception can be traced way back in 2009. The school was originally called JP’ Shalom Foundation International School, but later rebranded and reregistered as SFI Cambridge City School Uganda in 2025 upon mutual consent and administrative approval by the school’s board of directors. The iconic and benevolent founders of SFI Cambridge City School Uganda, Peter and Josephine, were inspired by their biblical teachings on Giving back and a philanthropic approach towards transforming lives through education.
In 2008, while addressing a cohort of evangelical church leaders, during one of the most powerful and eventful symposia, Josephine is quoted to have said, ” I’m dismayed by the current statistics about the surging number of school dropouts from poverty stricken and marginalized households, alarming skill deficits at the workplace, as well as the high unemployment rate among graduates in our locality. I verily think something pragmatic must be done to address this concern, and reverse the trend”. The following year, Peter and Josephine started SFI Cambridge City School Uganda from a humble beginning, driven by the fervent desire to address the aforementioned overarching challenges.
The conception of the idea to start SFI Cambridge City School Uganda marked the genesis of transformation of many livelihoods through education. Following a comprehensive diagnostic study, as well as comparative and impact analysis of various global education systems, the school’s board of directors decisively okayed (approved) the idea of registering the school as a Cambridge international school. This was primarily due to competitive advantage, and the immense benefits that British(Cambridge) Curriculum offers to its beneficiaries (Cambridge Learners) across the globe.
Based on our track records, the school has provided and supported education for over 1,500 students at various levels for the last couple of years since its inception. More than 200 students have been able to sit for their terminal IGCSE and GCE exams in a span of 10 years

Peter and Josephine are both Ugandan natives, a married couple, and iconic founders of SFI Cambridge City School Uganda.This divinely blessed couple of charismatic, philanthropic and visionary leaders is a great testimony, and a true manifestation of God’s glory in the lense of a multitude of people in Makindye-Kampala particularly the beneficiaries of SFI Cambridge City School Uganda . Due to their evangelical and pastoral work, Peter and Josephine have been able to traverse the world and reach out to a multitude of Christ’s followers with the gospel of Christ. They currently live in Canada on a pastoral and evangelical mission.
